Bringing the Industry Together

SAIM Connect 2026 marked the fifth annual SAIM user conference. The event brought together aviation fuel operators, facility and operations managers, airline representatives, engineers, and industry partners from across the country for three days of collaboration, operational discussions, hands-on learning, and peer networking in Orlando, Florida.

Created to help organizations maximize the value of the SAIM platform and learn directly from one another, SAIM Connect has grown into a collaborative annual forum focused on operational excellence, connected fuel infrastructure, digital asset management, and the evolving future of fuel facility operations.

Since launching in Las Vegas in 2022, the conference has continued to bring users together in cities across the country, including Chicago, Kansas City, Atlanta, and this year’s event in Orlando.

Training, Operational Discussions, and Platform Insights

The conference combines practical training, operational best-practice discussions, customer-led insights, and direct access to SAIM subject matter experts to help teams strengthen visibility into their operations and continue moving from adoption to optimization.

This year’s conference featured SAIM fundamentals refresher courses, operational breakout discussions, roadmap updates, customer panels, reporting and operational intelligence sessions, Digital Twin and As-Built discussions, parts and inventory workflows, and open forums focused on the future of the SAIM platform and connected aviation fuel operations.

Throughout the week, attendees explored topics including operational visibility, implementation strategies, maintenance and inspection workflows, reporting and dashboards, data-driven decision-making, operational consistency, and maximizing utilization across fuel operations.

Sessions focused not only on how organizations are using SAIM today, but also on how teams can continue customizing and evolving their use of the platform to support long-term operational goals.

Learning from Industry Peers

One of the most valuable aspects of SAIM Connect continues to be the opportunity for users and industry peers to learn directly from one another.

Through open discussions, panels, training sessions, and collaborative conversations, attendees shared real-world operational experiences, lessons learned, challenges, and ideas that continue helping shape both the SAIM platform and the broader operational community surrounding it.

Beyond the Classroom Sessions

In addition to educational sessions and operational discussions, attendees also enjoyed sunny Orlando with:

  • an opening night cocktail reception under the palm trees
  • a behind-the-scenes tour of the MCO airport fuel facility
  • friendly competition at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games during our SAIM Grand Prix

These shared experiences helped strengthen relationships and create opportunities for conversation and connection outside the classroom sessions.

Special thanks to our sponsors, Liquid Controls and Pepperl+Fuchs, for helping support this year’s event.

Tell us about your career leading up to your position with SAIM.

I’ve been in the aviation fuels industry for 20 years. I started on the reseller side before moving to the airline (buyer) side. Most recently, I worked for a software company as a SaaS provider that helps airlines with fuel management, direct operating costs, and other SaaS solutions.

What’s your favorite part about working in this industry?

The aviation industry has a global reach, but it is still small and close-knit. One of my favorite parts is getting to know all those people who help operate the world’s jet fuel supply.

Looking back at your career so far, what accomplishment are you most proud of?

I think SAIM is the culmination of my entire career. After working on both sides (seller and buyer) of commercial aviation as well as the general aviation space, I know the pain points and challenges our users face. All those experiences have brought me to this point.

What element of the SAIM digital platform has you most excited?

I’m excited about what the platform does for the industry in general – not only removing the pen and paper nature, but providing visibility into the condition and lifecycle of fuel infrastructure assets. The industry is getting to the stage where we’re not shying away from technology. SAIM helps with the manual process gap people are experiencing, making facilities more efficient.

In what ways have you seen SAIM serve the airlines in how they manage their critical fueling systems?

I saw SAIM at the beginning when the focus was on as-builts and scans. I’ve enjoyed seeing how it’s expanded to include maintenance capabilities, helping both the operators and airlines in managing their fueling systems more efficiently.

What are you most looking forward to with SAIM in 2026?

I’m looking forward to making connections with SAIM users this year and understanding how we can help support their operations, both today and into the future.

What drew you to wanting to begin your position with SAIM?

After working with Argus Consulting on projects in past positions, I knew the quality of work and the reputation the team has in the aviation fueling industry. The opportunity of getting to work with them, continuing to build on what’s already been established, and helping drive continued growth was really exciting to me.

Where can you be found when you’re not at work?

I’ll either be walking my dog with my wife, golfing, or watching sports.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I earned my Commercial Pilot certificate before I had ever flown on a commercial flight as a passenger.

In one sentence, describe the SAIM platform.

SAIM is your facility’s digital twin — all of the insight, none of the digging.

What does your role as Director of Business Analysis & Technology Operations entail?

I get to be a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. One minute I’m helping the team turn business needs into tech solutions, the next I’m making sure our projects and releases are running smoothly. Then, I might be answering support questions or building training so everyone feels comfortable. No two days look the same, and that’s what keeps it interesting.

What do you like most about your job?

It’s like solving puzzles every day. The project managers explain scenarios that pose problems we need to solve. Then, I get to ask questions and work with the team to come up with answers that will help us solve those problems. I am privileged to be the bridge between business and development, allowing me to work with many kinds of interesting people every day.

What element of the SAIM digital platform has you most excited?

What excites me most is our Digital Twin Module — it’s the heart of what makes us different. Everything you need is in one place; no more digging around. We’re also building predictive features to help spot issues before they become problems, and soon we’ll launch our Asset Map so you can see exactly where your moving assets are in real time.

What drew you to begin a career with SAIM?

I was drawn to SAIM because I thrive in fast-paced environments where I can solve problems and help people. I also knew I’d be joining a team where leadership truly values input, which made it the right fit from the start.

Where can you be found when you’re not at work?

Life outside of work is a mix of family time with my husband and our 14-year-old son, marathon training with the San Antonio Roadrunners, and plenty of yoga and meditation to keep me centered. Running helps me breathe easier, yoga keeps me from falling apart, and my family keeps me on my toes.
